I was born in South Africa a very, very long time ago and was raised by two loving parents, one of whom, my mom or mum, like they say in the UK, is the one with the crafting in her blood. She's good at everything she does, sewing, sketching, knitting, crochet and cooking, no matter what she makes, its always a success and beautiful. She's a gentle soul with lots of patience and I love her to bits. Then I have a sister (much younger and prettier) with all the exact same traits and she has recently added quilting to one of her many talents. She makes the most amazing quilts, you just want to snuggle up under them. Now with a mother and sister both having those traits, I have to admit and be honest with myself, both my sister and I were taught well by our mum, hence my love for crafting and card making.
My crafting/arty background has over the years meant I've tried all sorts of 'arty crafty' stuff such as fabric painting, ceramic painting, sewing and of course card making and everything it involves.
My husband Marque and I, and our two lovely daughters Chenique and Chaneli moved to the UK in 2001, gosh that's 11 years ago!!!! We had a wonderful surprise 7 years ago when I gave birth to our son, Xander....and here we are, our little family in the UK with all our friends and family still in South Africa.
When I craft I go into a total different frame of mind, I relax and then I also have time to think about soooo many things and get creative. I just love it!!!
There are two people that I share every single card, 3D item or the smallest ideas with and they are my very talented sister, Marelize and my dear friend in South Africa, Naomi. They are my two biggest fans! Thank you :-)
Thank you for taking the time to read this and get to know me.
Thank you for the kind words, if only you were closer... I would be your most loyal customer. I wish you great success and lots of happiness, I love your creativeness, it stands out to what I have seen before xoxo
