New!! New!!! New!!!!

As from today, the 1st of May........ Stampin' Up has a new Mini Catalogue and my head is buzzing!!!  There are some amazing products in there and I would love to come and demonstrate something made from using products out of the new Summer Mini Catalogue to you and a few friends.

Please get in touch with me (I will also be picking up the phone this coming week to all my previous hostesses and friends who promised to have a look at the diary...so be warned - when the phone rings, have your diary ready LOL) to book a Party!!  I am really excited about this one, I think its very feminine and just gorgeous.  I hope you can tell ....I AM EXCITED!!!!

Then not only is the new Summer Mini Catalogue new BUT Stampin' Up has introduced a new product called Simply Scored.  It is a scoring tool that (from today) you can get in imperial and metric....and then another plate for diagonal scoring!!!  How amazing is that?  Scoring has never been easier or more fun with this exclusively designed scoring tool.  It comes with place markers, a Stylus and a storage compartment.  You can:

Score cards

I've scored the edge of the card to give it another dimension and 'frame' to my image
Make scoring designs

These rosettes can be made using the Simply Scored tool and then used on any project
Please click here to see, step by step how to make a pretty 'rosette' to add to any project.  Its fun, fast and easy.

Bordering on Romance

After spending days working on my new Blog, it really felt as if I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms.  I've not crafted for days, just sitting in front of the computer.....I think it has paid off, as I'm really proud of my Blog...BUT......  Today I just had to sit down and make something.

I recently saw a photo of a card made by Michelle Last and decided I absolutely had to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) it.  So here are the three cards I made today based on Michelle's design.  It was absolute fun making them and I got into my Zone again, and feel much better for it :-)

I used basically the same idea on all three cards, using the Bordering on Romance stamp set from the new Summer Mini Catalogue and just changed the colour scheme on each of them.  I used the Edgelits - Adorning Accents to 'cut' the shape at the bottom of the card and then used the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - Adorning Accents to create the shape three quarters up the card.  Both these were used in conjunction with my pride and joy - The BigShot.

On the first one I decided to try using the Simply Scored score board but turned my card around and scored on the back therefore creating the indented look which I believe is called de-bossing.  I decided to spray that (only the de-bossed area) with my new found love - Shimmer Mist (a drop diluted in about 10ml of alcohol) giving it a luscious shimmer - it is absolutely glorious.  I used watercolour on the image and just accented it using my Stampin' Write Markers and Mini Silver Brads.

Colour - Wisteria Wonder
The other two cards are slightly different, I embossed it this time and I didn't do the water colouring I only used my Stampin' Write Markers in different shades as I wanted it quite bright looking to match the bright background cards and ribbons.

Colour - Pool Party

Colour - Red Riding Hood

Embellishments used on these two cards are Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Embosslits Dies - Beautiful Butterflies, Designer Printed Brad and of course the Ruffled Ribbon in Pool Party and Pleated Satin Ribbon in Riding Hood Red.

I hope you like these as much as I loved making them, again, thanks Michelle.
